The Hope After Suicide Support Group meets monthly via Zoom (due to the pandemic). By its nature, death by suicide is sudden, often violent, and often comes at the end of a long and difficult struggle with mental illness. Heaped on top of that is the social stigma that comes with both mental illness and suicide.
NCPD has a Council on Mental Illness which works to provide resources for persons with mental illness and their families.
