Mental health ministry is vital to our mission as Catholics to reach out to the marginalized to offer comfort, healing, and accompaniment. As one of the church’s newest ministries, formation is critical to increase our knowledge, our skills, and our confidence as we seek to serve in Catholic mental health ministry.
We have two versions of this course available:
1. Cohort Style Course with potential to earn a Certificate of Completion:
Immerse yourself in a complete multi-week course experience engaging with fellow learners and an experienced facilitator. Submit assignments, attend live Zoom sessions, and create your own mental health ministry plan. Satisfactorily engage with all required components of this course to earn a Certificate of Completion.
2. Films and Resources Only, no Certificate option:
At your convenience and according to your interest, explore up to seven beautiful films offering in-depth information about Catholic mental health ministry. Access the complete, updated and expanded Catholic Mental Health Ministry: Guidelines for Implementation textbook and other helpful resources. No deadlines, no Certificate – just learn at your own pace.
