We are called to reach out to the Elderly
Grandparents and the Elderly are so important to our communities and our church.
By word and by prayer, and by the sufferings that advanced age brings with it, older people have always been witnesses and apostles of the faith in Christian communities and in families.
Understanding that the family is of cardinal importance in our society and that at the center of the family is the marriage of man and woman, we should be mindful and attentive to supporting the mental health of marriages and families. Patrick and Sarah Metts will discuss the importance of attending to the needs of couples and families as mental health issues manifest themselves within this context. They will discuss practical ways a mental health ministry can offer support at the diocesan, parish, and individual levels.
